The Belle Meade Plantation Tour provides Nashville visitors with an amazing look into the culture and style of the south in the 19th century through a guided tour of the illustrious Belle Meade Plantation. Upon arrival, you'll notice that the entire estate is a throwback to the romantic era of the south, complete with period furnishings and fixtures. From exploring the mansion itself to learning of the storied history of the plantation's stables, which have helped produce such champion thoroughbreds as Secretariat, Seabiscuit and Smarty Jones, you'll be transported to an atmosphere of elegance and romanticism with the Belle Meade Plantation Tour.
If you happen to visit the Belle Meade Plantation from April through October, you will get the chance to experience "Living History" along with your tour of the plantation. "Living History" portrays arts and crafts, storytelling, blacksmithing and much more through reenactments.
