The Nashville Zoo
Located on 200 acres of the Grassmere Wildlife Park, the Nashville Zoo offers a great day of fun. With over 1,000 exotic animals and endangered species, waterfalls, the Atmosphere the Nashville Zoo has bees accredited by the American Zoo and Aquarium Association. The zoo features many exciting exhibits for you to enjoy including a fabulous reptile exhibit named The Unseen World, featuring over 75 species of different reptiles. The white tiger exhibit is one you won?t want to miss. It is a multi-level exhibit with waterfalls, greenery and more. For the children, there is a huge playground with tree houses, jungle gyms, and slides to play till their hearts content. The Nashville Zoo will ensure an energizing, fun-filled day followed by a night of great sleep for everyone.
The Adventure Science Center
The Adventure Science Center offers an exciting day of hands-on learning activities. With over 100 exhibits, you will not run out of things to do. Fly a plane in BlueMax, a full-motion flight simulator that can you control, or crawl through Body Quest, a 9,000 square foot replica of a human body. Climb the Adventure tower that is packed with scientific exploration. Once you get to the top, you have the best aerial view that Nashville has to offer on the observation deck. There is so much to do, your children will not even realize they are learning!
Centennial Park
This park offers many different outdoor activities to do for a day. There is a two mile hiking trail, as well as an enormous amount of free space to play catch or Frisbee. It has a life-size model of The Parthenon, a granite map of Tennessee with authentic topography, a41 foot statue of Athena with an informative museum to walk through. In addition, it also has a great playground for the kids with a beautiful pond. This park equals a great day of outdoor entertainment.
The Nashville Shores Water Park
This place is cool! Located on the shores of the Percy Priest Lake, the park features 7 huge slides, three pools, and white sandy beaches. Included in admission is a 45 minute cruise of Percy Priest Lake on the Nashville Shoreliner cruise vessel, you can also rent a paddle boat, a pontoon boat, or a jet-ski. If not on the lake, you can play one of the many games they offer such as mini golf, frisbee, horseshoes, volleyball, and more. The water park also holds special events throughout the year including live music and water ski shows. All these things add up to a wet and wild day of fun!
Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center
Wow!! Whether you are a guest of the hotel or just visiting, the Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center is definitely a place to go. The lush tropical gardens and the sparkling, dancing fountains and waterfalls are enough, but then you have the river that runs right through the building! You can stroll through the beautiful indoor/outdoor gardens that have been named as one of the top free attractions in Nashville, or take a Delta River Boat ride down the river. This place is amazing.

General Jackson Showboat Cruise
