Don't worry about remembering to set the recorder to catch this year's season of USA Network's Nashville Star. Visit Music City to be a part of the live audience as you cheer on the "next big thing" in country music!
Ticket Information Update
- Tickets became available on January 20, and are offered FREE through Ticketmaster. There is a limit of 4 tickets per order, and it is highly recommended that guests order these complimentary tickets ahead of time as the show is usually "sold out" prior to the live broadcast. There is also a $.75 convenience charge per ticket that must be paid at the time tickets are ordered.
Attending a Live Nashville Star Performance
- The popular reality show, which pits country music vocalists & instrumentalists against one another, will kick off its fourth season. One of the most important elements of the show is an energetic, cheering crowd, and you can join in the fun to root for your favorite performers - and to enjoy a chance to make it on national television!
- The show is filmed at the BellSouth Acuff Theater, which is located adjacent from the Grand Ole Opry and next to the Gaylord Opryland Resort.
- Nashville Star is filmed on Tuesdays, and except for the first show, all shows are broadcast live. The first show will be filmed on March 7 and broadcast on March 14. Audience members are often also eligible to win prize giveaways before the show, making this one of the hottest tickets in town!
- Special country music guests will also make appearances on the show, including Big & Rich on the March 7 taping.
New Changes for Season 4
- Two new hosts will replace former hosts LeAnn Rimes & Cletus T. Judd. Country music diva Wynonna Judd and 'hick-hop' pioneer Cowboy Troy will handle the hosting responsibilities for the new season.
- Singer/songwriter Phil Vassar & industry executive Anastasia Brown will return as judges in 2006, while the third judging position will feature a special guest judge each week.
Nashville Star History
- Past winners of the show have seen plenty of success, including first-season winner Buddy Jewel. Other winners include Season 2 champ Brad Cotter and Season 3 winner Erika Jo.
- For some, though, winning isn't everything. Past contestants who were eliminated from the show have seen plenty of success on the country charts. Contestants George Canyon and Miranda Lambert have both begun to make a mark in the industry.
