Gaylord Opryland's "A Country Christmas" is a spectacular Christmas celebration that pulls out all the stops, happening at the opulent
Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center in Nashville, TN between mid-November and early January. For more than a month, the
Gaylord Opryland Resort and Convention Center is hosting several very different, fun-filled Christmas-themed performances that are a perfect entertainment for the entire family.
First, there is
ICE!--an interactive spectacle, inviting audience participation, that is told on the ice. Ice skating performers re-enact Dr. Seuss's classic Christmas story, "How the Grinch Stole Christmas," with a few twists and surprises in store for the audience.
Then, straight from the Big Apple, there is the
Radio City Christmas Spectacular, featuring the
Radio City Rockettes. This New York city tradition has been delighting men, women, and children for more than 75 years. It is a majestic spectacle, with breathtaking choreography and special effects.
Then, there is the Louise Mandrell Christmas Dinner & Show, featuring the eternal gracious hostess, Louise Mandrell--joined by her nephew, and other relatives, as well as many surprise guests. This show is like a traditional holiday meal, full of laughter and warmth.
Those who are after even more southern-style entertainment should purchase tickets to the "Christmas on the
General Jackson" show, yet another component of Gaylord Opryland's "A Country Christmas." Set aboard a historic Mississippi river boat, this show features performances by Elvis, Elton John, and Tina Turner--or, at least, some very talented impersonators.
Come to one of these shows, or come to all of them--either way, you are guaranteed a good time at Gaylord Opryland's "A Country Christmas."
