The Festival of the Holidays enjoyed by so many holiday travelers is situated at the beautiful Cheekwood Botanical Gardens & Museum.in Nashville, Tennessee, seen and enjoyed by over 175,000 visitors on an annual basis. An area once the home of the Cheek family, the fifty-five acre site was designed by Bryant Fleming with pools, fountains, statuary, view of the Tennessee hills, and extensive boxwood plantings. Amidst the middle of this beautiful setting is the annual Festival of Holidays, with the lavishly decorated Cheekwood Mansion filled with tons of holiday cheer. With many Holiday specials, hikes, and educational activities scheduled throughout the entire week, tourists and local guests will enjoy the annual holiday cookie decorating, storybook readings, and art activities that promote this special time of the year.
The Festival of the Holiday at Cheekwood is a day of sharing traditions and a wonderful time for families of all cultures and ages to learn about all areas of holiday traditions, while also enjoying a tremendous variety of family activities. The holiday activities are typically held from 1pm to 5pm with a sampling of food choices, music and all kinds of things to do in the Cheekwood Botanic Hall. Usually held from December 10-31 on Forest Park Drive in Nashville, it is located approximately 8 mile southwest of downtown Nashville. The Cheekwood Botanical Gardens and Museum is open from Tuesday to Saturday 9:30am to 4:30pm and Sunday 11am to 4:30pm on regular hours.
